At Santa Barbara High School, we believe that aquatics is more than just a sport — it’s a foundation for character, discipline, and community. Through water polo, swim, and dive, we challenge our athletes to grow, support one another, and represent SBHS with pride.

The SBHS Aquatics Program operates four seasonal teams:

  • Boys Water Polo (Fall)

  • Girls Water Polo (Winter)

  • Swim & Dive (Spring)

  • Summer Water Polo Camp (June–July, open to all genders)

Whether you’re brand new to aquatics or an experienced club athlete, we want you involved. Our programs are open to all skill levels, and we work hard to create a positive and competitive environment for every athlete — regardless of background or experience.

The Aquatics Booster Club (ABC)

The Santa Barbara High School Aquatics Booster Club (ABC) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, established in 2000 to support every athlete in our aquatics programs. Working closely with SBHS coaches, families, and local aquatics organizations, the ABC plays a vital role in sustaining the high quality and accessibility of the program.

What ABC Helps Provide:

  • Scholarships & financial aid to ensure participation for all athletes

  • Essential gear & equipment: suits, teamwear, balls, cages, benches, timing systems

  • Tournaments & travel fees, including support for hosting home tournaments

  • Referees, staffing, and food services for major events

  • Supplemental coaching support, such as summer training and weightlifting supervision

  • Recognition & community events, including awards and athlete celebrations

  • Fundraising coordination to secure the future of SBHS Aquatics
